A Helping Hand

The cruising community is great!  Cruisers know that we are all in this together and so are always ready to lend each other a hand.  Early on this trip we had some drive belt trouble and the guys on sailboat Windseeka traveling just behind us were very kind and offered to help.  They also  saved my bacon by keeping me from running aground in a tricky section of the waterway when I was overly concerned about my engine problem and not paying attention.  Thanks guys!
A few nights later we were anchored in secluded Bass Creek and a boat wandered in well after dark.  They anchored near the side of the creek and I became concerned that with a 7 foot tide they would end up aground in the narrow creek by morning.  I hailed them from my foredeck and soon was talking with ...yup..you guessed it...the guys on Windseeka.  It's a big world but these things seem to happen all the time.  I was pleased that we could return a helping hand to traveling friends.
