With a Banjo on my Knee!
We are in Alabama! Left Manatee Springs this morning on a chilly (43 degrees) but beautiful day. Spring is beginning in Florida and buds are coming out. Grass is turning green. We drove north up Florida Rte. 19. Normally bumper to bumper in Tampa area but up here the toad is empty. 4 lanes mostly free of traffic. We picked up I-10 at Tallahassee and plan to spend the next few weeks traversing America on the southern route. We ended driving further than planned after picking up held mail in Crestview Florida. Couldn’t find a place to stop but now we are settled in at an Oasis Truck Stop in Pensacola. With any luck we will be in New Orleans tomorrow.
