Lo and behold we wake up to morning rain!!! They need it around here. Cancel the canoe trip on the Suwannee River! Hmmm...this is unique. We are in the middle of nowhere. No tv, no internet, no phone signal, no email, and no facebook. Can’t upload to the blog either! I am OK with that! It actually feels good to be out of touch!
We are pleasantly warm and have books to read and it is so quiet and peaceful. Birds everywhere. There is also a big owl. He was out last night and he makes a pretty loud hoot! “Who cooks for you! Who cooks for you!” I’m gonna get out my binoculars and look for him at dusk. We are supposed to have a campfire this evening and crack open a bottle of wine so I am hoping the rain will not last.
Tomorrow we begin the big push to New Orleans with a stop in Crestview, Florida to pick up our mail which is being held there. Hopefully I can get a few pictures published when we get a better location for a signal.
