Casa Bella and Hedy Lamarr

Yesterday we went out to dinner at a great Stuart restaurant called Casa Bella. A big thank you goes out to Kathy and Skip for making it possible for us to eat at this wonderful place. We had no idea it existed but are glad we went. It's really one of the first times we have gone out to a primo restaurant together since the big Anniversary party last August, so it was special. Great atmosphere and great food.

We got there as early as possible to hopefully prevent a dark drive home, but they didn't open until 5 pm. I had a terrific veal dish and Joanna had a chicken and shrimp dish. Our waiter, Dane, made us feel special when he brought in Joanna's favorite dessert along with a digestif. Joanna did not care for the drink so I had both and she drove home. Here are a few fight eyes:

There are some great places to eat in Stuart and we will make the rounds in the coming week with friends.

Boat watch:
Here's one that cost a few bucks!
On the home news front: Today I tackled a 12 volt lighting fixture problem on the bus. A broken switch on one light and another light not working. Joanna was a great help but I have to report a I was a total failure in making a repair. I'm usually pretty good with electrical stuff, but could not work any magic today.  In short, we need two new light fixtures so we will be on the hunt.

Got to watch SU beat Clemson last night. The team has made steady improvement and are 2-0 in ACC play.

Tomorrow we change campsites.  Also, our replacement car safety braking system is coming tomorrow so we will be Fedex hostages all day.

Finally, got into a discussion last night about who is the most beautiful Hollywood actress of all time. Grace Kelly and Ingrid Bergman were at the top. But today I got to thinking about Hedy Lamarr, who was both beautiful and SMART!! (But maybe not as well known)
Classic beauty! And here is the brains part I lifted from Wikipedia:
At the beginning of World War II, she and composer George Antheil developed a radio guidance system for Allied torpedoes that used spread spectrum and frequency hopping technology to defeat the threat of jamming by the Axis powers.[6] Although the US Navy did not adopt the technology until the 1960s,[7] the principles of their work are incorporated into Bluetooth technology and are similar to methods used in legacy versions of CDMA and Wi-Fi.[8][9][10] This work led to their induction into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 2014.

You can see a great video about Hedy here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rlXHNeQD-s
