We left Bushnell about 11 am this morning. We had an RV safety inspection at 10 which was very informative. We are safe!The ride up was quite enjoyable as we decided to take the back roads. We made our way over to Floral City which is where my brother used to live and then on up through Inverness. Once we got north of there the traffic and congestion dissipated. In fact, this is a part of Florida that is still wide open spaces! Very little development which surprised me.
We are parked at Manatee Springs State Park for 2 nights. This is a little rest stop before we hit the highway hard to New Orleans. Beautiful Park and crystal clear water but no Manatees in site. Took a nature walk down to the Suwanee River...or should I say way down upon the Suwanee?
