We are staying with my brother Rich and his wife Robin at the Lagoons by Marriott and it is quite the place. All the lawns are manicured like putting greens and any fallen flower bud is swept up each morning by the capable grounds crew. Spectacular grounds and even better views of the surrounding countryside.
Rich and Robin have really gone overboard to show us a great time on their former home island. We have seen a great deal and the more we see the more we like this place. Yesterday was a highlight as we took a helicopter tour of the island and today we drove across the island to see the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. Both were incredible trips.
So many pictures to post I don't know where to begin.

Na Pali Coast is outstanding!

"Uncle" Steve was our pilot and did a great job!
So as you can clearly see, this place is indeed unique and still unspoiled by the crush of tourists worldwide. Only one question remains to be answered. We cannot figure out why there are so many young couples with children touring the island. This is a very expensive place and I know I could never have afforded to take my family on a trip here when we were young. Do all these youngins work for .Com companies? I suspect that may be the case. If so, the elite 1% of America is indeed much larger than that. More like 15% if you ask me. Kauai is a very expensive place and we are fortunate to be here. Thanks Rich and Robin for a great time and wonderful memories!!! We re heading to California on Tuesday.
