Sunshine, the news, and booze

Every morning I step outside and look out over Dan Blocker Beach and the Pacific Ocean.  It is quite a view. Quite often there are surfers down at the point. We also get to hear the pounding of the surf as we lay our heads down to sleep each night. Ahhhhhh!

Every single morning here we have awakened to sunshine and pleasant temperatures. We appreciate this so much but feel the locals pretty much take it for granted. How can you truly appreciate sameness! Give me the 4 seasons so I have some perspective!

We have been pretty busy here with grandkids and I have pretty much given up on keeping abreast of current events. No news for me! No morning news and no evening news. Guess what? I love it! No stress from listening to sensational, biased reporting that emphasizes sensationalism and ratings. The Social Studies teacher in me wants to watch but quite frankly I am enjoying being uninformed (like most of America) as opposed to being ill-informed. It will continue!


Here are some pics from the last few days. We went to Wade's Wines yesterday. A most interesting store where I picked up some "supplies". Got to see the real meaning of the words "top shelf" .One bottle of Macallan was 6 grand!! I decided not to buy it.
